Most
of the year (with breaks for
festivals and Xmas) Wednesday nights at 8pm are when the
Wellington
Improv Troupe strut their improv stuff in
exciting new and beloved old improv shows at the Fringe Bar.
And as well as regular
Wednesdays, expect some special shows during the Fringe and Comedy
Festivals! Verrrry special shows.
During the Fringe Festival there are two
WIT shows, Improv Divas and the Beast
at BATS the 23rd
- 25th of February, and Battle of WITs
on Sundays the 12th, 19th and 26th of February. The
Improv Lounge will be back at the Fringe bar on Wednesdays from March
14th.

Thursday evenings in classes led by the fabulous Nicola
Hill. Unleash your creative potential and learn to
improvise scenes, stories and sagas in a supportive and fun group
environment.
The Wellington Improvisation Troupe
(WIT) is Wellington’s not-for-profit, community-based improvisational
theatre group. WIT performs and teaches the skills of improvisational
theatre at community venues around the Wellington region.
Theatre is made up on the spot by some of
Wellington’s leading improvisers and courageous newcomers alike, based
on suggestions from the audience. WIT players share a love of
storytelling and work together as a team to inspire the audience. WIT
theatre is sometimes serious, often hilarious and always totally
unpredictable.
